More about Kiwi Fruit
NFC first started packing the green Haywood variety in 2009, and
as orchards have matured will also start packing the gold variety
in 2011. With picking taking place in March, kiwi fruit fill
a niche between the finish of the mango season and start of the
avocado season. They also mature at a time when the market is
keen for some fresh home grown fruit, at the tail end of the
Italian import season.
The introduction of the inline stickering system complements the
Compac grading system and has made packing kiwi fruit much more
efficient.
