As of January 1 2005, NFC cannot supply fruit to Woolworths unless it has come from a farm with a third party accredited food safety system. Coles is also starting to enforce this requirment. This means NFC will have to segregate fruit from growers with and without farm accreditation to ensure it meets customer requirements. This will be reflected in the pooling system.
To allow NFC to send your fruit to supermarkets you need to have on-farm food safety (QA) accreditation. The simplest and most flexible system for growers is Freshcare.
